Getting Started
What kind of induction do I get as a new member?
As a new member we will provide as much support as you need. An initial health check and free programme can be followed up every 4 weeks, keeping you motivated and on the right track.
When you join you can refer 5 friends or family to be invited for one free use of the club. After this, a guest can use the club for £10 per session.
Initially you will need to book for your induction which takes approximately 1 hour. You can book all of your exercise classes up to 7 days in advance by ringing the club or visiting reception. If you are unable to attend a class you have booked please contact the club to cancel to allow others to join the class. You need to book into boxing classes in the boxing studio and you can also book out time in the boxing studio to do your own workout. You may use the gymnasium, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi as often as you wish without restriction. We also take bookings for our Natural Healing Clinic and Beauty Studio. A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for the cancellation of all therapy sessions. (A 50% charge may be implemented if notice is not given)

Can I take a break in my membership?
Complimentary suspension periods are permitted for reasons of illness, injury or pregnancy for a period of not less than two and not more than nine months. One calendar month's notice must be given in writing. Retrospective suspension periods will not be considered.
Monthly direct debit payments are made to Arena Health and Fitness on, or just after, the first of every month. No alternative days of payment are available.
The majority of 'members only' Health Clubs charge a Joining Fee of varying amounts. Research has shown that those who pay a Joining Fee are more committed to a long-term fitness programme and consequently achieve better results.
Your admin fee covers the cost of setting up your membership - your registration, membership card and associated costs.
Membership cancellations will be accepted in writing and are subject to at least one calandar months notice (Example: notice must be given before the 1st May to cancel at the end of May). Memberships that are still in the minimum contract period cannot be cancelled. Notice must be given before the beginning of the final month. If inadequate notice is given, Arena Health and Fitness may be unable to prevent a further payment being charged and no refund will be given.
Any member, having previously cancelled their membership, wishing to rejoin Arena Health and Fitness, will be obliged to pay the current Joining or Admin Fee applicable at the time of rejoining.
Memberships are usually paid monthly by direct debit, but arrangements can be made for those who prefer to pay via cash, debit/credit card or cheque.
